Niche market mavericks PENDANTS Australia began as a flash of inspiration in 2002.

After purchasing an Australian made pendant in London, Founder and Owner Duncan Michaelis started formulating an idea that would lead to the creation of the PENDANTS Australia brand. Inspired by the unique design and high quality finish of the pendant he was now wearing religiously, Duncan returned to Sydney in 2003.

He tracked down the casting company that produced the pendant and convinced them to start producing his own designs with the same quality craftsmanship.

Years later, the designer of the pendant he found in London sought out Duncan and PENDANTS Australia to offer his unrivalled creative skills. What followed was an inspired partnership that would result in PENDANTS Australia’s most unique collection to date. The unisex Oceania Collection now adorns the necks of clients world wide who come in search of a symbol to inspire them in their lives, just as it did Duncan.

Continuing to design jewellery himself as well as working with other like minded artisans and industry leaders, Duncan presses forward with superb designs and the desire to create jewellery with meaning. Ensuring the highest quality casting and hand finishing of every pendant also means that PENDANTS Australia seeks out local professionals and remains officially “Australian Made and Owned”.
